Activities 2008

Walking club:

There is a walk on every Sunday morning in São Martinho do Porto,

Lasting about 1hour and a half and about 5 km in length.  There are 4 different walks which are repeated in rotation.

The last Sunday morning of each month, there is a walk in the Caldas da Rainha area or in the Alcobaça area, in collaboration with the walking club of the Pimpões.

These walks are about 9 km long and take about 3 hours.

Reading club.

Every first Sunday of each month.

III ceramic fair in the second part of June.

VII book fair in the second part of June.

The casa da cultura has a

Theatre group, a singing group, a chess group, a walking group and a reading group,

Also the following arts workshops:

Embroidery group Tuesday and Thursday afternoons,

Oil painting on Saturday afternoons and Thursday mornings,

Sewing-circle on Wednesday and Friday afternoons,

Music group on Saturday afternoons,

Karate for kids on Tuesday and Thursday evenings,

Ballet for kids on Monday and Wednesday evenings,

English to be arranged.

Exhibitions:

June: work from the art workshops at the book fair.

July and august: exhibitions in the casa da cultura.

Conferences:

Every last Saturday of the month about personalities and history.

Library:

Open every afternoon (not Sundays).
